View Differences

SourceJammer provides a handy tool that allows you to graphically view the difference between the latest version of a file in your SourceJammer archive and any file on your local hard drive. You can also view the differences between any two versions of a file.

To view the differences between the latest version of a file in the archive and a local file:

  1. Select the file you want to view differences on.
  2. Select File | View Differences or right-click and select View Differences.
  3. Using the file browser, locate the local file you want to compare the archive file to. By default the default local copy of the file is selected.

To view the differences between any two versions of a file in the archive:

  1. Select the file you want to view differences on.
  2. Select File | Details... or right-click and select Details....
  3. In the History table on the File Details dialog, select the two versions that you want to compare. You can select two items on the list by holding down the <CTL> (control) key as you click with your mouse.
  4. Click the View Differences button.

Note: The View Differences feature can only be used on text files.
